As the global leader of luxury expeditions with an expanding fleet, PONANT Yacht Cruises and Expeditions is looking to engage a Finance Director for Asia Pacific who will support our strategic growth plans in the region. This newly created role will work closely with the Sydney based VP Asia Pacific and will be responsible for the planning, implementation and control of the finance function and strategy.

Reporting into the VP of PONANT Asia Pacific in Sydney and the PONANT Group CFO in France, the Finance Director is an integral part of the leadership team and requires a hands-on approach with the ability to provide strategic direction and advice to the business in order to drive growth across the region.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage the Asia Pacific month and quarter end processes
Financial, statutory and management reporting for the Asia Pacific region
Oversee tax, treasury and legal compliance
Budgeting and forecasting for Asia Pacific
Long term business and financial planning, including financial modelling
Business and commercial analysis to help drive business and revenue growth
Manage the Asia Pacific finance team, including external relationships
Drive the finance strategy for Asia Pacific
Oversee IT and HR
Commercial support and integration of APAC partnerships and acquisitions.
Partner agency contract financial management.
Lead analytics and insights to help drive growth for the APAC team.

Key Requirements:

CA/CPA qualified
Prior experience in an international matrix organisation
Prior experience leading and managing the finance function of an SME
Prior experience in a Big 4 accounting firm would be beneficial
Ability to speak French would be highly beneficial
Excellent communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships
The Finance Director will be located in North Sydney with travel to France required once or twice per year. On offer is a generous salary package with an annual bonus and the opportunity to embark on one expedition per annum (subject to availability).
