Hi all,I want to know about the penalty rates. One of my friends is working in one place where he does not receive weekend penalty rates. But, it is not the small pay to leave he gets the pay that is very high at $12/h considering that his age is underneath the age of 16. Are penalty rates compulsory? Can those be ignored under contract where an employee receives sufficient compensation such as a higher base wage? Please not that this is for pharmacy and note any differences to retail penalty rates if a difference is present Normal Hours: 125% 7-9pm Weekday: 175% before 8pm Saturday: 225% Normal Saturday: 150% 6-9pm Saturday: 175% Sunday: 225% Thanks in advance.
